As you may have noticed from the title, we may have been trying some weird stuff in Taiwan! Well, not as weird as you think! Today we wanted to spend our time just wandering around the city and not stress too much about going from place to place. On our agenda today: eating out of toilet bowls and finding the original bubble tea place.
Modern Toilet is kind of a quirky toilet-themed restaurant served in restroom-type things (like toilets!). The interior itself is filled with sinks and toilets for customers to sit on, which was quite amusing! Louis wasn’t a big fan and it was definitely my idea to visit here. 😀 The food was okay, nothing spectacular. It was really somewhere I wanted to visit just once and I do recommend it for the laughs!
Most of the afternoon was spent wandering around the city, which I didn’t get a lot of photos of. Louis wanted me to spend more time ‘living in the moment’ rather than photographing everything but I kind of did anyway with the foods. 😉
Our evening was spent looking for the original bubble tea place in Taipei and we found it! It is called Chun Shui Tang which you can click here for more information (couldn’t find a more detailed page). The cups were HUGE! So to balance all of that flavor, we needed some wholesome veggies and noodles as I was feeling a lack of vegetables these past few days. The tea was delicious and worth visiting if you’re in Taipei!
Although we didn’t do as much as we usually do (or more like how much I make us do 😉 hehe sorry Louis!), we still thoroughly enjoyed our day! Filled tummies and lots of rest on Day 4. More food to come on Day 5!
